5 Digital Marketing Tools for Social Media Pros

Handling social media seems easy at first, but in the long run, the challenge of keeping it interesting and “fresh” can prove difficult. Is engagement dropping because you’re using the same font in all of your images with quotes? Are followers getting tired of the quality of video content? You can stick to what you know and risk content getting stale or keeping an updated suite of tools.

Here are 5 of my favorite digital tools (ranging from free to a few bucks a month):

5 Digital Marketing Tools for Social Media Pros 1

Feedly – You walk into work and your coworkers are blabbering about something new and current but you’re still trying to catch up on yesterday’s news. Yep, we’ve all been there. Feedly takes everything you love and simplifies it, allowing you to organize news outlets the way you want it, not the other way around. You can create folders for topics that matter to you personally or your clients. Stay in the know without sacrificing your sanity!

Wyng – Offer more promotions with Wyng. Available to use with every major social media platform (RIP Vine), Wyng makes planning promotion super easy. Even better, Wyng plays nice with your team allowing you to drop images in to a promotion no coding required. Though not as many options, Promojam works just like Wyng but is much cheaper. Next time your brainstorming an idea to get people excited about your content, offer a fun promotion!

GroupHigh – Influencer marketing is here to stay. But how do you find the right one for your client. Luckily, there’s GroupHigh. GroupHigh is a useful tool for identifying topic-specific bloggers in various locations. It is also very helpful for quickly finding bloggers’ social media stats and information. It doesn’t substitute creating a connection with them, but it’ll make the connection easier and hopefully create a relationship where both parties benefit.

FollowerWonk – Just who is following you? Though you could use that analytics Twitter provides every user, it doesn’t go as in-depth as FollowerWonk doe. Followerwonk enables you to see where Twitter followers are located, analyze Twitter profiles, and search for keywords in Twitter bios. It also has a simple display that organizes data into basic graphs and charts that are easy to understand and use. Even more interesting, it allows you to compare twitter accounts, perfect for clients who want to see how they stack up against a competitor.

Canva – My life changed when I started using Canva and I stopped pretending the content I made using other services was any good. Whether you want to make a Facebook cover photo or an infographic (people LOVE infographics), Canva has you covered. It helps with content layout, and it may be helpful to those who don’t always have access to a graphic designer and just need to create simple, attractive graphic content, like yours truly. Give it a shot the next time you’re looking to design something; it’s free!
