A Year of Positive Change at UPRAISE
This has been a year of positive change at UPRAISE. I’m excited to recap the year and look forward to the year ahead.
Joining Forces with rbb Communications
In February, rbb Communications, a Miami-based integrated communications agency founded in 1975, acquired UPRAISE. The combination brings together two firms with complementary strengths and a shared focus on helping innovative organizations tell their stories with clarity and impact.
Expanding Capabilities and Deepening Tech Expertise
UPRAISE adds deep B2B technology and financial services expertise to rbb’s portfolio, built over more than 20 years supporting companies across sectors including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, enterprise software, telecommunications and data infrastructure. rbb, in turn, brings expanded creative, digital, social and influencer capabilities that allow us to offer clients a broader, more integrated communications approach.
Through this partnership, we are better positioned to support fast-growing technology companies and the expanding Florida tech ecosystem, while continuing to serve clients nationally.
Early Momentum From a Strong Partnership
The partnership has already begun to deliver meaningful results.
New Client Wins and Expanded Services
We have won new projects with clients based in Florida, including Mignow, a systems integrator that helps enterprises deploy and upgrade SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. We also tapped rbb’s graphics and creative expertise to produce a new sizzle reel for our Userful client, one example of how this partnership has expanded UPRAISE’s scope of services.
Growth Across Key Technology Sectors
Beyond Florida, we won new clients across several key technology sectors over the course of the year.
Supporting Enterprise, Semiconductor and Communications Leaders
In addition to Mignow, we worked with a fast-growing ERP provider to increase attendance at its annual customer conference. We also began working with a leading provider of critical materials to the semiconductor industry, earning media coverage at SEMICON West, one of the semiconductor industry’s flagship events. In parallel, we started supporting a large contact center and unified communications provider as it adopts exciting new technologies to enhance its value proposition for enterprise customers.
Why Tech PR Continues to Be the Focus
A key reason I focused on technology PR early in my career is the rapid pace of change, which I expect will only accelerate, largely driven by AI’s unparalleled impact.
AI as a Catalyst for Industry Transformation
Just as the widespread adoption of computers in the 1980s and 1990s and the rise of the internet in the 1990s and 2000s profoundly changed entire industries, AI is now having an equally, if not more dramatic, impact. For organizations that embrace AI and aggressively harness it to develop new products and services, it creates the opportunity to leapfrog competitors. It also paves the way for entirely new industries, much as the internet enabled the rise of e-commerce.
Technologies to Watch in the Year Ahead
Looking ahead, there are several emerging technologies I’m particularly interested in watching over the coming year.
Quantum Computing, Extended Reality and Pre-Emptive Cybersecurity
These include the continued expansion of quantum computing, particularly for applications such as accelerating drug discovery; extended reality, which combines the capabilities of AR and VR to create entirely new experiences and is ideal for both business applications and enhanced entertainment; and pre-emptive cybersecurity, solutions that anticipate attacks, mobilize defenses and stop breaches before they happen.
Thank You to Our Clients, Partners and Team
I’d like to thank our clients and prospects for their partnership and support this year. Most of all, I want to thank the UPRAISE team members for their hard work, intelligence and creativity in serving our clients and achieving great results.
